Our Story
In May 2022, our world was turned upside down when my sister, Sunny Thukral, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme. The journey that followed was a rollercoaster of emotions and uncertainty.
Sunny’s experience was a testament to the stark reality that not all patients have the information they need when facing such a diagnosis. Her medical journey took us through multiple opinions, each one carrying its own verdict. The first labeled her tumor as inoperable, a devastating blow to our hopes. The second opinion provided a glimmer of hope, and the third, finally, brought the best results we could hope for. It was a relentless pursuit of knowledge and options that led to a more promising outlook for Sunny.
But we couldn’t help but wonder about those who don’t have the resources, support, or determination to navigate this complex web of medical opinions and treatments. Glioblastoma, a particularly aggressive form of brain cancer, is a formidable adversary, and yet, information about it remains elusive for many.
The landscape of glioblastoma research and treatment is an uncharted territory, with very few developments over the past two decades. Patients like Sunny, who fight so valiantly, need innovation and progress in this space to have a fighting chance at a longer and better life.

Our mission is to bridge the gap, to connect the disjointed worlds of research, healthcare, and innovation, and to eliminate the inefficiencies that stifle progress. Shayan Harvis recently joined Yash’s investing team and became empowered with the desire to connect the ecosystem.
